Alfred was a serious fellow, of the sort that everyone is afraid to come near. People said he was clumsy, fretful and rude. To make matters worse, he had a strange cat – all plaid! – and a reputation for being a sorcerer. The neighborhood children were scared to death of Alfred and wouldn’t even go past the door of apartment 33. But one day Alfred’s plaid cat disappeared… What do you think happened?
CAROCHINHA
PUBLISHING HOUSE
ABOUT US
The origin of Carochinha Editora dates back to 2004, when publishers Naiara Raggiotti and Diego Salerno Rodrigues founded Estúdio da Carochinha to provide services to several Brazilian publishing houses in the areas of creative writing, translation, editing and editorial production and coordination.
Time went by and, in 2012, a publishing house for children’s books started taking shape, under the motto “Imagining is everything”. In 2013, its first books were released and Carochinha Editora finally debuted in the market.
More than developing books for children, Carochinha wants to imagine and learn together with them. With an expanding catalog, the house publishes picture books, novelty books, educational books, and has projects focused on different learning stages (early childhood, literacy instruction and elementary school). Its main goals are high quality, ludic activity and innovation.
